What the service handles, what it keeps, and what it passes on.

What a call contains

A tool call contains the input you send: a place name, coordinates, a URL, text, an image or a PDF. We use that input to produce the result and do not store it beyond the request, except for the cache entries described below.

Your IP address

We use your IP address to enforce rate limits. For each IP we keep only the current minute and day counters, which replace themselves when their window changes. We do not use IP addresses to profile you.

Cache

Some results are cached for a few minutes up to a few days, so repeated questions are fast and upstream sources are not overloaded. A cache entry holds the result, not your identity.

Upstream sources

To answer a call we send the needed input to the source behind that tool: for example a place name to a geocoding service, or a URL to the site being checked. Those sources handle the data under their own policies. The tool page lists each source.

Cookies and tracking

The API sets no cookies and uses no analytics. The website stores your theme choice in your browser only, and loads its font from Google Fonts.

Logs

Operational logs record request paths, status codes and timings to keep the service running. They do not include request bodies.
